Charges and Invoicing Arrangements

Summary

Details of the charging and invoicing arrangements for Trade waste collection.

Introduction

Charges to trade customers consist of three elements:

  • cost of collecting and emptying,
  • disposal costs,
  • hire of the bin(s)

Further calculations are also made according to the number of collections made each week and the number of bins on site.  Further reductions in charges can be made by opting for a larger bin to be collected on a fortnightly basis, as opposed to a smaller bin being emptied on a weekly basis.

Invoicing Arrangements

Payments for trade refuse collections are taken by Direct Debit in two six-monthly instalments to cover the following periods:

  • April to September
  • October to March

(New accounts and amendments to an existing service will be apportioned accordingly).

Babergh Trade customers are sent an invoice at the end of March each year showing the amount due and the dates the Direct Debits will be taken.
