Implementing Electronic Government

Summary

Information about the e-Government programme (2001-2006) including Babergh's Implementing Electronic Government (IEG) statements.

From  2001 to April 2006 every local authority has been asked to produce a document called the Implementing Electronic Government (IEG) statement. This statement shows how we are approaching the task of improving services via electronic means such as this website.

The IEG statements are returned to the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (OPDM) at regular intervals and they help to monitor the progress of all councils towards providing services electronically.

Our statement feeds into the national e-Government programme. It is a valuable source of information from which the Government can identify progress in implementing electronic local government.

All documents are in PDF format. To view them you will need a PDF reader.
